SUSTAINABILITY

At Warnbro Centre we want to ensure the shopping centre and the community that we operate in are resilient and able to thrive. We are aiming towards a net zero carbon emission target by 2030, which includes reducing water usage and increasing the amount of waste diverted from landfill.

SOLAR PROJECT UPDATE

The project will begin with delivery and storage of the panels in preparation for installation around the Centre in February 2022.

Some car bays will be blocked, however normal centre operations are not expected to be disrupted.

Solar Panels

From February 2022 we will be installing solar panels on the roof of the shopping centre.

These panels will generate renewable energy that will be used on site, reducing harmful carbon emissions in the atmosphere generated by site operations.

Car Charging Bays

Shortly we will be installing charging bays for battery powered cars.

Our charging stations will eventually run on the renewable energy generated by our solar panels.

Net Zero Carbon Emission

We are aiming to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2030 through a concentrated sustainability effort at the shopping centre.

LED Lighting

Continue updating the centre to reach 100% energy efficient LED lighting by 2023.

Environmentally Friendly Material Use

Support retailers to ban or phase out single-use plastics by 2025

Solar Panels at Warnbro Centre

Reducing site carbon emissions.

Warnbro Centre will be making the switch to solar energy in 2021/2022.

As the project rolls out, shoppers will be kept informed of any major works that may impact the shopping experience.
